The Developmental Disabilities Board cabaret night is back by popular demand

“We are back.”
These are the opening words of Madison County Developmental Disorders Board (MCBDD) Superintendent Susan Thompson as she greeted an enthusiastic crowd at the 2021 MCBDD Christmas Cabaret held on December 20 at the Joyce Hildebrand auditorium at London High School.
The event was back by popular demand. The MCBDD’s first cabaret night in June 2019 received rave reviews. This year, participants performed a variety of well-known and lesser-known Christmas classics including âWhite Christmasâ with cheerful audience participation.
Performers included Lupita Arriaga, Rebecca Bell, Duncan Gholson, Bridgett Gray, Jay Jarvis, Diana Large, Blair Leady, Nancy Manning, Paula Manning, Donnie McGhee, Jonathan Mullins-Kimbler, Penny Powers and Shaundra Sayre.
Jessica Dunham provided piano accompaniment.
On hand to lend their support were former London High School theater stars Ruth Peart, Aaron Gates and Luke Peart. Carol Ansel, Blaine Brockman and Susan Thompson also participated.
London High School student Andrew Dunkley and high school theater director Scott Blanton took care of the technical duties and the stage crew.
